Blending Art and Technology: Sound Design for Theatrical and Themed Installations
What does a Computer Tech and Coder who’s also a Musician do in their spare time? Design soundscapes for theatrical and themed installations, of course! Sound design is the perfect harmony of analytical precision and artistic creativity.
Sometimes, it’s a deeply technical process, like designing themed installations with multiple racks of computers, amplifiers, and hundreds of speakers—such as the Dialog in the Dark exhibit. Other times, it leans more toward artistry, as with The Colored Museum.
No matter the balance of art and science, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed contributing to the theatre and themed industries throughout my career, bringing immersive audio experiences to life.
